The Harris County Women Veterans Network

We help guide women veterans to a successful transition, and continue as an enduring resource in Harris County.

While we help all Veterans file disability claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs, this is a network specifically for women Veterans. We provide valuable information to women Veterans beyond the disability claims process.

Harris County (and surrounding Counties) have a large concentration of women military veterans.  We share and nurture these women veteran success stories. We help those having difficulties adjusting to civilian life, or starting over.

We are women veterans who help our sisters in arms to overcome setbacks.

Ardenna Hardy - Veterans Service Officer

As a VSO (Veterans Service Officer), I often hear Veterans recant what other Veterans said to them.  My goal is to keep us up to date and informed about what’s going on inside the VBA (Veterans Benefits Administration).

As a female veteran, I have also overcome challenges that many of you have experienced.

As a former NCO, I took care of my soldiers and will continue to take care of you even though we’ve all put our uniform down.

Let’s explore VA Benefits together!

***Call to action for interested people***

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
