2026 Rodeo: Armed Forces Day

MARCH 4TH* FREE FOR ACTIVE SERVICE MEMBERS AND VETERANS. EACH IS ALLOWED UP TO 4 FAMILY MEMBERS (*Rodeo/Concert tickets sold separately*)

If you served in any of the branches of the military, both at home or abroad, there is no better way to celebrate and reflect on your time in service than joining the Houston Rodeo for a night that is meant to celebrate you! As families gather for an evening of music, food, livestock, and much more, you can be sure that a majority of the patrons there that day will have walked in your shoes in some way. From D-Day to Kosovo, Iraq to Afghanistan, we all had a mission. To keep this country safe from enemies both foreign and domestic, but on March 4th, we all walk together and enjoy the fruits of our labor with our families by our side.

What Is Armed Forces Day?

Armed Forces Day was established in 1949 by Harry S. Truman, but was first observed on May 20th, 1950, to honor Americans currently serving in the military. It recognizes all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces:

  • United States Army

  • United States Marine Corps

  • United States Navy

  • United States Air Force

  • United States Coast Guard

  • United States Space Force

It’s a day set aside not just for recognition, but for the appreciation of families who serve alongside their service members and for communities that stand behind them.
